New
York City Health & Hospitals Corporation
SITUATION:
New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) is the
nation's largest municipal health system, with 11 tertiary hospitals,
100s of clinics and annual revenue of $4 billion.
HHC facilities provide health services to the city's
most vulnerable and at-risk population. HHC was concerned that so
many people in their population were not engaged
in preventive or primary health care. Their goal was to
motivate, support and enable responsible health choices among their
multi-cultural, multi-ethnic patient population.
SOLUTION:
The Princeton Partners Health strategy
called for the development of Take Care NY – the
most extensive health education and screening outreach
program ever executed in the City of New York.
The campaign's results were so effective that Take
Care NY has grown from an annual event to become
the City's year-long preventive health care initiative.

Our
Lady of Lourdes Medical Center
SITUATION:
Our Lady of Lourdes MedicalCenter,
in the heart of Camden, NJ, is an acute care hospital
that offers a full range of health services to
urban residents and the greater Camden area. With
a 40% increase in admissions in the preceding
15 years and little expansion, the medical needs
of the community were exceeding the hospital's
capacity. As Lourdes planned and constructed a
new $54 million facility adjacent to the existing
hospital, neighborhood residents in this crowded
urban setting were distrustful, concerned and
vocal. Lourdes needed to involve and win over
the immediate neighbors, introduce the benefits
of the new facility to the community at large
and stimulate support for the hospital's expanded
services and growth.
SOLUTION:
Princeton Partners Health created
a comprehensive communications outreach plan over
a period of six months to build awareness and
anticipation within the community, support hospital fundraising
efforts and culminate in the building's opening.
The agency's aggressive media outreach resulted in
numerous stories airing on ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS
and broadcast radio. Articles appeared in daily newspapers across New
Jersey, as well as regional and community
newspapers, business and trade publications. And the
Community Open House and Dedication attracted more
than 1,500 neighbors, community residents, donors, and officials
to the new facility for screenings,
entertainment and tours of the new Lourdes Pavilion.

Raritan
Bay Medical Center
SITUATION:
Raritan Bay Medical Center (RBMC) is a two hospital health system serving both urban and suburban communities in central New Jersey. While perceived as good community hospitals for primary, emergency and geriatric care, they were not thought of as “full-service” hospitals for highly specialized care. RBMC has invested in technology and services, and advancements are continually underway. The challenge for Princeton Partners Health was to reposition RBMC as hospitals committed to bringing the latest in technological and clinical advancements to the communities they have been serving for over 100 years.
SOLUTION:
Give consumers permission to believe that new and exciting changes are taking place at RBMC. Princeton Partners Health developed an updated brand positioning and branding campaign that is executed in print (color), collateral, broadcast, outdoor and direct mail. The print campaign was developed as a series of many ads, each focused on one new service or technology, such as emergency angioplasty, a new PET/CT, or a new bariatric surgery program. In this way, the sum of the ads has been greater than any of the parts – RBMC is in market consistently, reminding or informing people of all the great things that are happening at RBMC – where we are Advancing Care Every Day.
